| About Empty Bowls Events |
Empty Bowls events are held throughout the country with the purpose of reducing hunger in the local areas. These popular events are a partnership between independent potters and restaurants. Potters provide beautiful bowls. Restaurants provide tasty soup, bread and beverage. People come to "buy" a bowl full of soup and get a beautiful bowl. The cost of the bowl is a donation which goes to help feed the poor and disadvantaged. Most empty bowls events also feature silent auctions of art works and other prizes.
