Bill Armstrong Grant:

Each year, the New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists present a grant to encourage ceramic art education or programs in ceramic arts in New Mexico.

The New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists established the Bill Armstrong Grant in memory of a late, distinguished member, and in the spirit of his own pursuits. The annual grant supports organizations and projects which further education and experiences in clay arts.

The annual award is a minimum of $500 and a maximum of up to $1000, to be determined by the Board, based upon individual needs.  Proposals for lesser amounts would also be welcome for consideration.

Use of funds: Funds may be used for purchasing supplies or equipment, contracting with a visiting artist, marketing/publicizing a special program or project or other activities directly related to ceramic art education.

Eligibility: Individuals, 501(c)3 organizations and educational institutions located in New Mexico are eligible to apply. Members of the New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists are not eligible to submit grant requests as individuals. If, however, a member works for or is associated with an organization or educational institution, he/she may apply on behalf of that organization.

About the Bill Armstrong Grant

The New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists has established an annual grant program in memory of our late distinguished member, Bill Armstrong. Bill was instrumental in teaching many people about pottery and was always interesting in experimenting, learning more, and helping others.

In this spirit, New Mexico Potters gives an annual grant to assist with a ceramics education program or a ceramic art project.
