Artist's Statement:

It's a magical thing when you make art your whole life when the urge to create is bigger than you are and you just let it come out when it wants to. I feel very fortunate to have a creative mind that constantly keeps me re-inventing my own wacky reality!

Each piece is created by hand starting with a cold lump of clay. I love to hand-building with clay and am currently learning how to throw "Jugs". As I love making "Face Jugs". I love working with various glazes combining them in ways that are so unpredictable...where never are there two pieces created equal.

Each piece is hand-built without the use of molds. Most of my face Jugs take hours to create. I often find myself obsessing over the smallest detail. I have begun trying my hand at some functional pieces to sell later on Ebay (http://myworld.ebay.com/darlenerocky).
