Artist's Statement:

I love throwing pottery on the wheel, and I love to draw and design. Majolica pottery interests me the most for it's beauty and functionality. I enjoy making my own designs and I like patterns very much.

Being a painter, I like to be creative on any surface I touch a brush to. Majolica allows me to create endless designs. Exploring different clays and mixing some of my own glazes is fascinating and fun. The surprises are endless and results can be disappointing and rewarding, but this is a lifetime of continual learning.

It's the most interesting, exhilarating craft that's been captivating me on and off for the last thirty-nine years.
