Artist's Statement:

I've used many mediums throughout my life: hot glass, stained glass, ceramics, painting & commercial illustration. Working in clay again feels like coming home, as it was my haven in high school and beginning college. After exploring different directions, I am now able to combine all of my interests.

Melting glass into many of my pieces adds texture and color. As a sculptor, I understand why my paint was always so thick...I enjoy the third dimension.

My subject mater has been consistent through out: figures, animals in safe places. I also work with varying degrees of abstraction, as I am always intrigued by the idea of giving a sense of life to the things that are inanimate.
