Detail of Bridge, Las Palomas Plaza at Geronimo Springs, Truth or Consequences NM. A public art project utilizing the natural hot mineral water of Geronimo Springs. The water flows down two ceramic mountains and surrounds a 45’ diameter plaza. Eight benches with tile images relating to the culture of the area, are placed so people can put their hands and feet in the water. Completed 2002

The Garden Series. I designed this tile to be placed in bands around tubs, backsplashes or other areas. They can be surrounded by commercial field tile. They are frost proof so can be used outdoors.

Artist's Statement:

This year, 2004, marks my thirtieth year as a professional full time artist. I consider myself exceedingly fortunate to be able to spend my days pursuing my artistic ideas.

I work in a wide variety of styles from abstract to representational, flat or relief murals to sculpture. I enjoy doing commission work and have done work in public places as well as private homes and commercial spaces. Commission work allows me to work large and I enjoy the challenge of designing a piece for a specific space.

Color is always an important component of my work.

Lately I have been working in fused and slumped glass as well as clay. I am making a series of ceramic lamps with glass shades.
