Enjoy total immersion in the beautiful landscape of Ghost Ranch while learning from Sheryl and making clay forms.
"Using a sculpture clay body and building with slab strips, we will create works on a larger scale. Then by cutting away we will abstract the forms and introduce negative spaces to make sculptural vessels or forms. During set up time I will show some of my tricks for making smaller functional pieces. Then I will demo layering the surfaces with the use of a crackle terra sigilatta, oxides underglaze and glaze. Sketching ideas will be encouraged to help facilitate your ideas."
