2008 Ghost Ranch Workshop

We are pleased to announce the 2008 Ghost Ranch workshop, Friday, Aug 29 to Sunday, Aug 31, 2008. The event is titled "New Mexico Connection" and features artists from New Mexico making presentations of great interest and enjoyment, including Jim Romberg, Maggie Beyeler, Barbara Campbell, and Linda Kastner. Ilona Rumule, China Painting Workshop, July 6, 2008

Ilona Romule, from Latvia, has received international recognition for her slip cast porcelain figures. The New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists welcome Ilona to New Mexico. She will be presenting a one-day workshop, demonstrating and teaching china painting techniques. The workshop will take place July 6, 2008. Deadline for registration is June 13, 2008. Exhibit: Fire & Fiber, Hand in Hand May-July, 2008 

Las Cruces Museum of Art Director's Gallery  May 2 - July 5, 2008  
Purpose:  To exhibit artworks produced collaboratively between fiber artists and ceramic artists.  
Eligibility:  The exhibition is open to current members of the Potters’ Guild of Las Cruces or the New Mexico Potters' and Clay Association and a collaborating fiber artist. 

2008 Celebration of Clay, Albuquerque, June 2008
The annual exhibit of NMPCA member work will be held from June 6-27, 2008 at the Arts Alliance Gallery, 1100 San Mateo, Albuquerque, New Mexico. The opening reception will be June 6 from 5 to 8 pm. Deadline for entries has been extended to May 11. If you are not a current member of NMPCA, you can join with your show application. Use this application form to send in your entry.
NMPCA Campaign for Pot Hollow at Ghost Ranch - Now
NMPCA has initiated several actions towards improving the ceramic art workshop facilities at Ghost Ranch in Abiqui, New Mexico. These actions include awarding of the 2008 Bill Armstrong Ranch to Ghost Ranch, participating in March work camps, and asking members to make individual contributions towards the specific purpose of improvements in Pot Hollow. Read an update to the project in the May 2008 newsletter.
Spring 2008 Contemporary Clay Fair - Santa Fe
This exhibit was held at the Santa Fe Women's Club, 1616 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe, NM on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and April 27, 2008. See photos of the show in the May 2008 newsletter on the newsletter page. The show has it's own website at Contemporary Clay Fair.
