I am an educator and school administrator, and started working with clay after retirement. My only regret is that I didn’t start sooner!  I am happiest with my hands in clay, which feeds my soul and brings me joy. 

As a fairly new ceramic artist, I love exploring different techniques and

processes. I create functional and decorative pieces, which are inspired by

nature and my appreciation of humor.  

I work from my home studio, Poppy Mountain Pottery, as well as at Santa Fe Community College, where I have learned, been inspired, and have joined a strong clay community. I regularly participate in the Santa Fe Community College Clay Club Sale and the Eldorado Studio Tour. My home studio is open to visitors by appointment.
