One of the best workshops out of dozens that I have attended at the ranch was the Rudio Autio workshop in the late 1980's.  Even in a 2-day workshop, Rudio was the most inspiring and encouraging teacher I have ever encountered.  It was truly a magical time.

At that period of my life I was working with animal guides, shamanistic journeying, and imagery.  I had been working with an image of a black "Monster from Within" prior to coming to the Ranch.  While at the ranch, I met a friendly lizard on the trail to the dorm room.  The piece I made during the workshop was called "The Ghost Ranch Lizard Meets the Monster from Within".  Done in the Rudio Autio style, the monster turned white by the atmosphere at Ghost Ranch, this piece still resides in my garden and is a touchstone for my ceramic art career and my love of Ghost Ranch.

Later, in 1992, my husband and I moved to Northern New Mexico.
