Since the 2015 flood wiped out the Pot Hollow Ceramics Studio, it is time to move equipment and supplies from Piñon to the new Pot Hollow, ten years later.

Summer of 2024, Ghost Ranch started a 50x25’ studio for ceramics on a fill-dirt-fortified new foundation, in about the same location as the old Pot Hollow studio. The construction is due to be completed by mid-summer 2025.

Now, here’s our part -- NMPCA volunteers will help out, by building shelves, and moving equipment, and much more.  We will hold up to 3 work weekends, and welcome you to sign up to be on the team.

Needed: Arrangers, Carpenters, Lifters, Strong Backs

Tools like PU trucks, cordless drills, utility knives, crow bars, gloves (label with names) will be needed.

These weekend dates will have lodging and meals provided by the Ranch, in their special housing on the Mesa for volunteers, with communal bath facilities (top bunks and bottom bunks available - one womens dorm, one mens dorm), or in the campground. Use "Questions" area to indicate you will camp.

Because numbers are small, please sign up early if you wish to join.

Remember, these are work times and we commit to the jobs we are undertaking, so it is not a time to bring family members along if they aren’t pitching in for the full weekend. If a family member can't work, they need to pay fees and reserve their own campsite in campground.

    Register:

Friday, October 3rd 1pm - Sunday, October 5th 4 pm - Transfer Piñon Shelving to Glaze Room; Move In All Equipment and Furniture - 12 people maximum. Bunkhouse or camping options.

Friday, October 31st 1pm - Sunday, November 2nd 4 pm - Catch-up to Move-In Day Piñon to Pot Hollow (kilns especially) - 12 people maximum. Bunkhouse or camping options.

Waitlists will be held for both October weekends.

More info will be emailed to those registered ASAP.

    Thank you!

We call ourselves the NMPCA!
